Moses said to the LORD, "You have been telling me, 'Lead these people', but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, 'I know you by name and you have found favor with me'. If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people." The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Then Moses sid to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone kow that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"

   And the LORD said to Moses, "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know by name."          Exodus 33:12-17

You cannot RECEIVE favor, You FIND favor!

Moses said to the LORD, "See, you say to me, 'Bring up this people; but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight'. Now therefore, if I have found favor in you sight, please show me now your ways, that I may know you in order to find favor in you sight. Consider too that this nation is your people." And he said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." And he said to him, "If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here. For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?"

    And the LORD said to Moses, "This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name."      Exodus 33:12-17

THE FAVOR OF GOD IS:

The gurantee of His presence and the provision of His power to accomplish His special purpose in and through my life.

The GUARANTEE of His presence and the PROVISION of His power to accomplish His special PURPOSE in and through my life.

I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covement with you.     Leviticus 26:9

For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.    Psalm 5:12

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestrows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.    Psalm 84:11

Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.     Proverbs 3:4

...praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.     Acts 2:47
